Over more than six decades, Krajcberg built an utterly unique body of work, with formal sculptural and pictorial rigor, both three-dimensional and two-dimensional, working with remnants of trunks, vines, roots, and wood, and articulating art, nature, and activism. Frans Krajcberg: Rediscovering the Tree is the first exhibition dedicated to the artist at MASP and is divided into seven sections, spanning more than five decades of his work and including paintings, earth and stone works, engravings, reliefs, blooms, shadows, and sculptures.
