Join the Found Family Collective for an exciting and inclusive event called Friday Night Mic: Black Queer Edition. Taking place on May 19 at the Corner Club in Tampa, Florida, this event aims to celebrate Black LGBTQIA+ history while providing a platform for artists of all types within the community. The evening will be hosted by the talented Charles Hines, a nationally recognized Spoken Word Poet with an impressive background in poetry and literature. Attendees can expect a night filled with poetry, fiction, song, dance, drag, monologues, comedy, and other forms of artistic expression. The event will focus on highlighting the diverse and complex nature of the queer experience, offering a safe and inclusive space for participants to share their joys and find catharsis. In addition to the performances, attendees are encouraged to connect with one another and make new friends, fostering a sense of community within the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg LGBTQ scene.
