The Amsterdam Palace is a magnificent building on the Dam Square in Amsterdam City Centre, the Netherlands. Here are some of the main attractions about it: 1. Historical background: The Amsterdam Palace was originally built as a city hall and was built in 1648. Designed by architect Jacob van Campen (Jacob van Campen), it was unveiled on July 20, 1655. In 1807 after the Napoleonic Wars, Louis Napoleon, the younger brother of the French emperor, moved here and changed it to a royal palace. In 1813, Prince William (later King William I) returned the palace to Amsterdam, and it became the residence of the King of the Netherlands. 2. Architectural wonders: the stone foundations of the palace are supported by 13,659 wooden stakes, which are known as the &quot;eighth largest architectural wonders in the world&quot;. 3. Interior decoration: The interior of the palace is gorgeously decorated, and many decorations and artworks are made by famous people such as Rembrandt and Ferdinand Pol (Ferdinand Bol). Themes are mostly about the great Amsterdam and the Dutch Republic, such as the relief of the main triangular wall depicting Amsterdam as the ruler of the sea. Royal Furniture and Artwork: The interior is decorated with French First Empire style furniture and is a relic of Louis Bonaparte, the first king of the Netherlands. The palace has a large collection of art and cultural works, including works by Rembrandt, Ferdinand Burr and Govit Flink. Modern function: The palace is not only an office palace, used for official reception, state visits and awards ceremonies, but also open to the public for visitors to see its rich history and architectural beauty. 6. Opening hours and tickets: The palace is open to the public all year round, usually from 10 am to 5 pm, the ticket price is about12.50 euros for adults,10.00 euros for students, and free for children under 18 years old. 7. Attractions: When visiting the Royal Palace of Amsterdam, you can also explore the nearby Nieuwe Kerk, Madame Tussauds Amsterdam, and the Amsterdam Museum. To be honest, I was very excited before I went there. I read about the unspeakable sadness of Van Gogh&#39;s life. You will find the author&#39;s pain and suffering, his persistence and struggle, but his helplessness. It would be great if human beings could put aside national boundaries and prejudices. There is only one earth and one home. I wish the world peace, warmth and beauty everywhere.
