For this special performance we welcome
Ashley Allen
, one of the most exciting rising talents in the
UK jazz scene
. The Birmingham-based keyboardist, composer and producer has been creating major buzz across the country, with his latest album reaching the
top of both the Amazon and iTunes jazz charts
.
Ashley was also recognised by

Jazz at Bank de Léon
is a monthly live music residency in
Wolverhampton, West Midlands
, redefining the jazz night experience through a seamless blend of world-class live jazz, caribbean dining, and late-night drinks.
Held every 1st Saturday of the month, the series transforms Bank de Léon into an intimate jazz lounge—bringing together live bands, vocalists, and special guests in a refined, cabaret-style setting. It is fast becoming a leading destination for live jazz in the West Midlands.
The programme is
artistically directed by Grammy Award-winning percussionist Lekan Babalola
, whose career spans collaborations with global icons including
Stevie Wonder
, alongside leading figures in UK jazz such as
Soweto Kinch
and
Courtney Pine
. With deep roots in African rhythm and contemporary jazz, Lekan brings a level of musical authority, cultural depth, and global perspective that defines the identity of the series.
Under his direction, each night is intentionally curated to honour the legacy of jazz from pioneers Miles Davis and John Coltrane—while pushing forward the sound of modern UK jazz, soul and live music culture.
