Paddle up to grassy island with an on-water BBQ lunch, drinks, music, and friends on boats, floats, and paddle craft. The water is knee to waist deep for 300 yards with a nice, sandy bottom, perfect for cooling off and playing frisbee. But the best part is experiencing awesome sea planes buzzing over and and splashing in!

We'll meet at Wave of Wellness, where your experienced guide will assign you to quality, fitted paddleboard gear and review safety and paddling technique. Then we'll launch the boards on to beautiful Lake Mary Jane - half bordered by a nature preserve with tall pine and cypress forest, this lake has a very natural, old Florida vibe - you won't believe you're in Orlando. We'll paddle leisurely to the center of the lake where the floating party is kicking off! Boats will be anchored with music, BBQ lunch, and friendly neighbors. The water is shallow enough to stand up and cool off, or we will anchor our boards and you may float and soak up the sun. Then relax and enjoy the live music while spectacular sea planes fly overhead. You can even view them up close when they splash in and anchor - it's an aviation-lovers dream! Around 1:30p when the pilots begin to leave, we'll paddle back to our launch site. Bathrooms available to change, etc.
Lunch: BBQ and Drinks are available for Cash Donation. Bring cash for purchase. Food and beverage is served by volunteers and is first come, first serve - we suggest eating upon arrival. If you have specific dietary or beverage needs, we encourage bringing that with you.
All paddle craft and ages welcome. Kids 12 years and younger may ride along free with an adult. All participants must know how to swim.
Paddle Duration: 1-2 miles
SUP Skill Level: All Levels, instruction included.
IMPORTANT: In the event the sea planes can't attend due to inclement weather, we will still host the paddle portion of this event to the island and have our own party - since we can't control the weather we are not offering refunds if the sea planes can't fly - thanks for understanding. If the weather is too inclement for us to paddle we will reschedule for the next Splash-In event in September. We only reschedule so your experience will be safe and enjoyable. You will be notified via Eventbrite email at least 1 hour prior to start time of a reschedule.
Time: IMPORTANT - PLEASE BE ON TIME SO THE GROUP DOES NOT HAVE TO WAIT FOR YOU: Meet at 9a. Launch Time is 9:30a. If you need extra time to unload gear or inflate your board, you are welcome to arrive as early as 8a.
Bring: Water, towel, dry bag, cash (for food & beverage purchase), your own snacks and beverages if you prefer or want extra, and a dry change of clothes. If you're bringing your own paddle craft, a life vest and whistle are required by law.
Wear: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses (with straps), clothing that is easy to move in and can get wet (like dry wicking workout clothes or swimwear - NO WHITE APPAREL - the lake has cypress tannins which turn white into yellow).
Parking: This is a residential area. We'll fit as many vehicles as we can in the driveway. Overflow parking is on the street side - please respect our neighbors and don't block driveways or mailboxes. If you can carpool with a friend it will help greatly!
Bathroom: We have a single bathroom on site. If you are able to stop before you come back into the neighborhood it will reduce the wait for facilities.
Guide: Jessica Cichra is a SUP enthusiast that has been actively paddle touring, racing, surfing, and instructing since 2009. She is the founder of Wave of Wellness, a company with a mission to empower clients through adventurous activities that enhance all areas of well-being with a focus on travel, SUP, yoga, and community. Jessica guides paddle tours in the Central Florida and internationally on adventure travel retreats.

Universal Studios in Beijing was great. Facilities were great food was good and we had a great time. The park feels very new and fresh. The waiting in Line wasn&rsquo;t too long. The weather was cold but plenty of places to stay warm.

The Kennedy Space Center is undoubtedly a must-see stop on any Orlando itinerary. Both adults and children will be captivated by its rich space exploration atmosphere. The entire park is clearly laid out, progressing from space history to modern exploration in a step-by-step manner. The Apollo moon landing missions, the Space Shuttle exhibit, and the actual rocket displays are all incredibly impressive, many of which are genuine artifacts that can&#39;t be seen anywhere else. Standing beneath the massive Saturn V rocket, you can truly feel the greatness and courage of humanity&#39;s exploration of the universe. The interactive experiences are also excellent. The simulated launch and astronaut training programs keep children fully engaged, making it not just a superficial visit, but a genuine learning experience. The explanations and films are of high quality, making it easy to understand even for those unfamiliar with space exploration. The facilities are very well maintained; restrooms, restaurants, and rest areas are conveniently located, so you won&#39;t feel tired or overwhelmed even after a full day. Overall, this is not just a tourist attraction, but a vivid and inspiring lesson in science and dreams. It&#39;s perfect for families with children, and also for adults interested in technology, history, and the future of humanity. If time permits, I highly recommend setting aside a full day for a leisurely experience.

Note: Kennedy Space Center is very far from the city center and Disney parks. A taxi ride there costs approximately $60-80, and the return trip costs approximately $130-150. It is recommended to purchase a combined ticket that includes round-trip transportation. Tickets on Ctrip are expensive and do not include round-trip transportation.

New Year&#39;s Eve Trip to SeaWorld Orlando

This morning, I departed from the InterContinental Orlando Hotel and took the Shatou Bus to SeaWorld Orlando, embarking on a New Year&#39;s Eve journey that combined fun and excitement. Upon entering the park, I could immediately sense the marks of time on the facilities; they lacked the glamorous sophistication of newer amusement parks, but this retro feel did not diminish the enjoyment at all. It&#39;s worth noting that this park was built in 1973, making it 50 years old. Creating a marine-themed park of this scale half a century ago is truly a remarkable achievement.

The marine life exhibit is the park&#39;s highlight. Groups of orcas swam gracefully in the pools, exuding a powerful presence; sea lions and seals were adorable, and in the interactive area, you could feed and interact with them up close&mdash;they were gentle and cute; and agile dolphins occasionally leaped out of the water, tracing beautiful arcs, eliciting cheers from the audience. Besides the marine life viewing, the roller coasters here are a pleasant surprise, with four or five different kinds: a rapid acceleration roller coaster, a seated roller coaster with a plunging and flipping ride, and a suspended roller coaster with a soaring overhead speed &ndash; each one is thrilling and sure to appeal to teenagers.

With Christmas and New Year&#39;s celebrations coinciding, the park is filled with a festive atmosphere. The dazzling lights and warm decorations add to the joy of the visit. Saying goodbye to the old year and welcoming 2026 in the laughter-filled marine world is a truly unforgettable experience. The park&#39;s ticket price is excellent value, offering both gentle interactive rides for younger children and thrilling attractions for teenagers and adults alike, ensuring fun for all ages. Wishing everyone a prosperous and joyful 2026!
