Join the New York Road Runners Striders Program for an invigorating fitness class at Dorot in New York City. The Walk and Beyond Fitness class offers a comprehensive approach to fitness, incorporating rhythm and musicality to improve agility, coordination, and endurance. Led by experienced instructors from the New York Road Runners Striders program, this class is suitable for all levels of fitness and requires no prior experience. Participants are advised to wear suitable exercise attire and bring a water bottle for hydration.

When attending in-person programs at Dorot, certain protocols are in place. While there are currently no general vaccination or mask requirements for older adults and volunteers, it is strongly recommended that everyone be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and stay up to date with vaccines. Additionally, DOROT requires all employees to be fully vaccinated. Masking is optional for older adults, volunteers, and staff in onsite or community programs. However, individuals who have had recent exposure to COVID-19 or have tested positive within the last 10 days may participate in in-person programs if they are asymptomatic and follow CDC guidelines to wear a mask.

To ensure the safety and well-being of the DOROT community, individuals should not participate in in-person activities if they have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 5 days, are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or any other illness, or generally do not feel well. DOROT continuously seeks guidance from medical professionals and authorities and will adjust protocols as needed.

If you test positive for COVID-19 within 48 hours of attending a program at DOROT, please notify your DOROT program contact. After a 5-day period and when no longer symptomatic, you can return to in-person programs.
