Discover your very own hidden gem at Richmond Beach and transform it into a stunning, polished cabochon! Join the two-day class, "Find Your Own / Cut Your Own - Carkeek Park," led by instructor Carly Van der Hyde. This unique experience will take place on Sunday, February 4th at Carkeek Park from 12pm to 2:30pm, and on Monday, February 5th at NW Rockhounds from 11am to 2:30pm. This class is exclusively for individuals aged 18 and above.

No prior rock experience is necessary to participate in this class. However, please note that the ability to walk on uneven ground and climb stairs is required to access the beach. On the first day (Sunday, February 4th), the group will gather at Carkeek Park at 12pm. Prior to the class, you will receive an email containing detailed directions and additional information. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and bring water and snacks. Please refrain from bringing children or pets along with you.

On the second day (Monday, February 5th), you will delve into the art of cutting and polishing stones. Under the guidance of the instructor, you will learn how to transform your rough stone into a beautifully shaped and polished cabochon, suitable for jewelry or display purposes. This class will also introduce you to the tools and equipment necessary for stone cutting. Successfully completing this class will count as one of the prerequisites for accessing the open lapidary studio.

Throughout the class, it is important to note that part 2 involves working with loud equipment. Earplugs will be provided to ensure your comfort. Please be aware that tickets for this event are non-transferable and non-refundable, similar to tickets for sporting events or concerts. Any cancellations made 7 days or more in advance of the event date will be eligible for a refund.

Big tourist attraction for sure and honestly it&#39;s the people I&#39;ve met and the fun I had that made this great!  and while the elevator up is standard, getting to the top you have people that go around and take free picture. you download them from their website. Ritchie, the photographer I met was incredibly sweet  and had the down home comfort to him. going to the rotating Glass, he gave me a few pictures with the background and it was amazing! they had $15 Mai Thai (I know I know lil pricy but you&#39;re in the air and in Seattle, why not?)Tips: get your ticket(s) for a good price (cough cough Groupon) and get them online and early. cheaper before 11 am

The best place to overlook the panoramic view of Seattle. This is actually a free community park on the top of the mountain, but the view is so good that it has become a must-see attraction in Seattle. From here you can see the clear blue water of the harbor and the Space Needle in the city center. In the distance is Mount Rainier, the city of Little Fuji. The top of the mountain is covered with snow all year round, like a white hat, very beautiful.
