Join the Festive Introduction to Fused Glass workshop in Plymouth at Ocean Studios, located in the Factory Cooperage at Royal William Yard. This half-day workshop offers a relaxing escape from the Christmas crowds and provides an introduction to the beautiful craft of fused glass. Suitable for ages 12+ to adult, this workshop allows participants to create their own selection of fused glass Christmas decorations or a larger panel.

In this longer introductory course, participants will learn the art of cutting glass and have the opportunity to design, cut, and create their own fused glass Christmas decorations. Using top quality Bullseye sheet and accessory glass, including unique options exclusive to Annette's classes, each student will craft approximately 6 to 8 decorations such as snowmen, robins, stars, Christmas trees, and mistletoe. Alternatively, participants can opt to make a larger fused glass panel, which will make a stunning addition to any mantlepiece or windowsill during the festive period.

Even those who do not consider themselves creative or artistic can excel in this forgiving medium. Annette, the experienced instructor, will provide example decorations, templates, and ideas to help participants get started. The design and color possibilities are endless, ensuring each decoration is beautiful and unique.

After the course, Annette will fire the decorations in a specialist glass kiln. They will be available for collection approximately a week to 10 days later, or can be posted for the cost of postage. These decorations will last for many Christmases to come and can also be given as beautiful gifts.
