WHAT TO EXPECT AT MOONFLOWER MOVEMENT VALLEY HEIGHTS CLASS? Moonflower Movement classes are 55 minute somatic burlesque classes focusing on sensual burlesque and fusion styles. They are about stepping into your power celebrating your body and self and connecting with your body.We will cover burlesque with a fusion of other styles including 20s - 60s vintage dance, silk veil fan dance, bellydance and temple dance styles focusing on dance as an embodied ritual in which we honour and celebrate ourself! We will work on three routines across terms 3 and 4 with completely optional performances. The Moonflower Movement classes will help us build up a repertoire of dance movements and help you explore all the different ways to move your body and what your body is capable of with optional empowering burlesque fusion performance opportunities available to dancers at the  Foxy,   Dollhouse  and  I Wanna Pizza You  shows.The space is bathed in a tea light for each class as we connect with our bodies and each other and take back our power as beautiful, sensual dancers owning our bodies and reveling in its beauty! Come fly with Moonflower Movement! This somatic dance based class incorporates the use of a wide range of handheld flow dance props including: Silk Veil Fans Silk Poi Silk Veils Feathers or feather alternative fans and more... ​ Dance is proven to help us release, interpret and express motions and regulate our nervous system. Dancing with large and flow props adds to these benefits and brings with it a joy that many fan dancers describe as  flying . Feel free to bring your own flow props if you have them. There will be some items for students to borrow in class time. We also have affordable home practice fan veils and other flow props available to purchase at class. Classes are connection and experience based not performance based however optional performance opportunities are available for students who are interested.
