Colorado Springs Events in November, 2023

The Colorado Springs School proudly presents its Fall Theatre Production of Fahrenheit 451 at the Louisa Performing Arts Center (LPAC). Based on Ray Bradbury's dystopian novel, Fahrenheit 451 depicts an American society where books are outlawed and burned by firemen. Montag, a fireman, questions his purpose after meeting Clarisse, a 16-year-old with unconventional ideas. This encounter leads him to make a dangerous choice between conformity and intellectual freedom. Join us for two nights of theater performances, beginning on November 17th. The opening night includes a pre-show panel discussion with Colorado Springs authors, exploring censorship in the arts. This event will take place at the Trianon Library from 5:30-6:30 p.m. (November 17th only). Please note that space is limited, so be sure to register at checkout. The opening night performance will start at 7:00 p.m. On November 18th, there will be another performance at 7:00 p.m. The show is recommended for ages 12 and above. By attending, you not only enjoy a thought-provoking play, but also contribute to the Theater Department at CSS, an independent day school in Colorado Springs. For more information, visit css.org.
