Join the Early Years Dance Network for their upcoming event, held in partnership with Déda in Derby. This in-person gathering, led by Louise Wildish, Head of Inclusion, and Liz Clark, Associate Artist for Early Years, is a must-attend for early years dance artists and creative practitioners. It will be a unique opportunity for members of the EYDN network to come together in person for the first time since the pandemic.

The highlight of the event is a two-hour practical workshop, where participants will have the chance to engage in movement, play, and creative exploration. The workshop will be based on Sonrisa Arts' new participatory performance work for early years, called Dance in the Dark. Through this workshop, attendees will delve into the world of playful, embodied movement and co-creation of community dance performance work for early years and families.

Additionally, attendees will be treated to an exclusive showing of the R&D film by InfuseDANCE, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the work. Throughout the event, there will also be updates from People Dancing and Déda about their early years programs. This will be a fantastic opportunity to network and share best practices with fellow artists.

Please note that this session includes a two-hour practical workshop, so it is recommended to wear comfortable clothing and bring refreshments. The cost of attending varies depending on membership status: £10.00 for People Dancing members, £15.00 for EYDN members, and £20.00 for non-members. The booking deadline is midday Thursday, December 7th. If you have any access requirements, it is advised to book at least two weeks in advance to ensure fulfillment.
