Experience Flame Working | 2024 offers a unique opportunity to work with glass in front of a torch at SiNaCa Studios - School of Glass and Gallery in Fort Worth. The class is designed for ages 14 and above, with a class size ranging from a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 4 participants. The price of admission is $125. No prior experience is required to participate in this 3-hour workshop. During the session, attendees will work with instructors to learn about the equipment, tools, and materials used in flame working. Participants will have hands-on experience shaping colored and clear glass rods or tubes in front of an open, gas-fueled torch. The workshop will focus on demonstrating basic flame working techniques to create seasonal items such as snowflake pendants, snowmen, pressed leaf pendants, butterflies, mushrooms, and mini pumpkins. Completed items will be available for pick up at the SiNaCa Studios gallery five business days after creation. Safety measures are in place, and all participants must have a completed Risk and Release form on file. Kiln forming with Bullseye Glass (90coe) is also taught at the studio, offering further opportunities for creative exploration.
