Please note: this event will be held in person at The Hidden Gardens Boilerhouse. What might the world look like if land was free and we saw ourselves as part of it—not separate? In this creative writing workshop, we’ll use storytelling and speculative fiction to imagine liberated, just futures rooted in land, reparations, and collective care. Together we’ll write toward utopias that resist extraction and reimagine belonging. About the facilitator:Jamila is a writer, filmmaker and member of LION (Land In Our Names), a collective that centres reparations through land for Black people and people of colour. Working at the intersection of land justice, anti-racism, and collective liberation, Jamila sees storytelling as a political act— one that exposes power, amplifies resistance, and connects us. From investigative reporting to creative writing, their work centers marginalized voices and challenges dominant narratives. Their practice is rooted in care, community, and the belief that stories are tools for survival and transformation. -------------------------------------------- Access information for this event:There will be 20 attendees maximum, and the event will feature comfort breaks. We came here on a spontaneous visit one Sunday afternoon in January and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our wee boy loved seeing the &ldquo;old fashioned house&rdquo; and was so well looked after by all the staff, from the cash register to the flat and back out again.

We went round twice (with a shift change between visits!) and the insight into one story of no doubt thousands like it in Glasgow was fantastic. Plus our boy thoroughly enjoyed colouring in his wallie dug. A hidden gem that is well worth the wander through Garnethill.

This is simply a dream castle. When I arrived, it was the April holiday, and there were almost no people on the road. Only the ancient buildings stood in the cold air, solemn and heavy, which made people feel awe.

It is said to date back to the famous William Conquest period, built in memory of San Diego, built over hundreds of years, and has been nearly a thousand years. It is the oldest religious building in the whole of Scotland. It is also a must-see for tourism.

The Kevin Grove Museum of Art, located opposite the main campus of the University of Glasgow, adopts Spanish Baroque. The style of the Victorian red sandstone building is its distinctive feature. The museum contains world-class art works such as Salvador Dali&#39;s representative work &quot;Christ of John the Cross&quot;.

George Square is located in Glasgow city center and is very conveniently accessible by train or subway. On nice days, you can sunbathe and watch pigeons in the square. It is close to the famous shopping street, where you can buy souvenirs, clothes, shoes and socks. There are also many restaurants and eateries to choose from. 
George Square is a must-see attraction. In addition to admiring the architecture of the square;during different festivals, such as Christmas, the square is built into a Christmas Market, becoming a dynamic and happy atmosphere.
