Join this drawing workshop 'It's Me Not You' with artist Julie Verhoeven and guest model, Mab George Sanders. Taking inspiration from Bethlem Gallery’s exhibition Our Eyes Will Dance by Courtney, Julie will lead a drawing workshop exploring character and gesture through mark making. Julie Verhoeven’s eclectic output is extensive across art,
fashion and moving image. Julie's formal training was in fashion and she is primarily known for her fashion illustrations and fashion collaborations with Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Versace and most recently, Yours Truly by Peter Jensen. Julie has directed music videos for David Holmes, and Primal Scream and in 2023 published a book of collaborative works, ‘I want your meat and cheese, blood and pie’ with artist Alan Faulds. Mab George Sanders is an installation and performance
artist whose illustration style runs through make up, fashion, performance and film to generate immersive environments with families of characters. About Bethlem Gallery events Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Concessions are available for SLaM service users, people over 60, students, people receiving ESA, people registered disabled and their carers. We take photos at our workshops to use on social media – please speak to the facilitator if you do not want to appear in any photos. If you are unable to attend the workshop, please contact us to cancel your place. We often have a waiting list.
