Originally constructed by its African American congregation in 1920, this white frame Gothic Revival church held a significant place in the Black community of French Lick and West Baden during a time of segregation. After years of neglect, a dedicated team of volunteers painstakingly restored the once-vacant structure, breathing new life into this historical landmark.

Following the screening, director Elizabeth Mitchell will be present to discuss the making of the documentary and engage with the audience in a Q&A session. Mitchell, a respected journalist and historian, retired from a 35-year career at the United States Postal Service to pursue her passion for researching and sharing African American history.
