A djembe is a rope-tuned skin-covered goblet drum played with bare hands, originally from West Africa. In this workshop, you will learn the basics of west African drumming and build your skills up to create an incredible performance by the end of the session. ​These hour long sessions have been programmed to be age appropriate for the following groups: 11:00: Ages 5-8 * 13:00: Ages 9-12 * *Under 13’s must be accompanied / observed throughout the session by a responsible adult. We aim to be as inclusive as possible and ask that you let us know if you have any particular requirements at point of booking. Check in opens 20 mins before each session at the Information Centre. On arrival you will be met by one of the instruction team and taken to the session venue the rest of your group. Advance booking required. This is a FREE ADMISSION event. Tickets are limited to two (2) per person.
