This is our 3rd year presenting Nutcracker themed dance photorgaphy workshop! Excited! This event is for photographers of all levels intending to practice or perfecting photographing dancers as they perform. Please follow our instagram @photoshoot.dance Featuring Dancers: Tori Hey and Jafet Reynoso. What fun to create a space to shoot some of the nutcracker moves at we step in to the Nutcracker season in December. What to expect: Tori and Jafet will dance short pieces from different segments of Nutcracker. They will perform, repeat, pause and pose and hold. There will be various lifts, jumps, pirouettes and beautiful poses. We repeat segments so that you can try out different techniques, check your shots and make changes, switch spots, etc. We start with a duet work and then we will move on with solo performance segments with each dancer and we end with a duet. The workshop is curated by Sangeeta Yesley, Director at Creative Performances. EVENT DETAILS: Date: November 30, Saturday Time: 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. If time permits, photographers may book one-on-one shoots with individual dancers for 15 min, for additional cost. Place: FD Studio, 35-58, 37th Street, Astoria, New York, NY 11106. Duration: Total duration 2 hrs. Tickets: Early bird $95 until November 10, General admission $120. Please bring your own photo equipment. Please note that there won't be any instruction or any instructor. We expect the attending photographers to have prior knowledge of photographing and trying this workshop with dancers to practice or to gain new experience or to build their portfolios for dance photography. This room has Large White Cyc wall. Photographers are welcome and even encouraged to bring their own flash equipment. No more than three flashes per photographer. Note that your flashes will need to be remotely triggered. Optical triggering just won't work with many people trying to take pictures simultaneously. All attendees are requested to arrive at the studio by 12 p.m. to set up. Workshop will commence promptly at 12:30 p.m. Model release forms will be provided. Lights snacks and water will be provided.
