Join a Dorset Wildlife Trust Warden on this family event at Lorton Meadows Nature Reserve for an evening dedicated to creatures of the night. As dusk settles in and the nightshift clocks on we will explore the fields and hegerows of Lorton looking for bats, owls and other crepuscular creatures. Using bat detectors the staff and volunteers will help to identify the night fliers and other wildlife that we find along the way.
This event is suitable for adults and families with children from 4 to 15 yrs old. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Event runs 19.00 p.m. - 21.00p.m.
Tickets are charged at £6 Adults, £4 child.
Please book a ticket for all members of your party.
Please be aware that we will be walking over uneven ground and in failing light, so please wear stout footwear such as walking boots and bring a torch with you. Also bring what you need (walking stick, hats, coats, drinking water etc) and wear clothing appropriate to weather on the night.
Free parking is available on site.
Toilet and baby changing facilities on site.

If coming by public transport the number 10 bus runs regularly between Weymouth and Dorchester with the nearest bus stop at Nottington Lane. If travelling from Dorchester nearest stop is Broadwey Methodist Church. It is then approximately a 10-15 minute walk to the centre via Dorchester Rd then Lorton Lane.
If coming by train the nearest station is at Upwey followed by approximately 20 minute walk via Dorchester Rd then Lorton Lane.

Cancelling your booking
Cancellations are accepted at the discretion of Dorset Wildlife Trust and a reasonable cancellation cause should be provided by the participant.
You may request a cancellation up to 7 days before the date of the course or workshop. You may be charged an administration fee.
