Hobbies and crafts are important therapeutic activites to honour self-expression and promote feelings of usefulness and competence. Research shows that crafting can bolster mood, improve self-confidence, and reduce stress. Crafting stimulates the "feel-good" neurostransmitter, dopamine, which increases pleasure and enjoyment. Crafting is like a drug-free antidepressant. Focussing on your craft is a mindful practice similar to meditation. Crafting is therapy.
My meeting room is a bright, clean workspace for you to spreadout and focus on your individual craft for the whole day. You can wear headphones or book one of the 2 private offices and keep to yourself, or enjoy the company of the small group (10 participants maximum).
Ramona the Psychologist Inc. is located on the second floor at 109 Ave and 166A St. NW. We are on the second floor, and the building has no elevator.
