Learn to paint flowers and plants at the Basic Oil Painting Course on canvas in Milano. The course will be held on May 26, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Art Studio Finestreria, located at 69 Via Ascanio Sforza, Milano. Discover the art of painting botanical subjects during this unique workshop. Participants will be guided in creating their own canvas depicting a meaningful plant of their choice. Please bring a plant with you for a real-life painting experience, or select from the available options at the studio. Throughout history, botanical illustrations have served both scientific and artistic purposes. This course combines the care for plants with the art of painting, resulting in a personal herbarium page. The program includes a brief historical overview of botanical illustrations, hands-on guidance for observational skills, introduction to oil painting techniques, and individual development of botanical canvases. Feel free to bring your own paints and brushes, or use the materials provided at the studio. Admission is priced at 33,22 €.
