Join us for a guided artistic practice where you'll explore identity through abstract self-portrait collaging. We’ll uncover new ways to challenge and reimagine the binaries around us by experimenting with new tools for self-expression. This program is led by SLC visual artist and photographer, LUNA. Basic supplies will be provided, but any additional materials are welcome. Attendance is Free! but recommended supply donation is appreciated. Materials: We’ve designed this workshop to be free for accessibility purposes, but if you would like to help by bringing materials to either use yourself in the workshop or share it would be greatly appreciated! This can be tools like scissors/glue sticks or collaging materials like magazines/printed images/books. Our isntructor will be bringing as many of those materials as I can, alongside things like patterned paper and stencils. Temple Square is also a very distinctive place in Salt Lake City. Some very interesting design styles can be seen on the square. The entire Temple Square is a huge place worth visiting. There are many local community complexes surrounding the square.

Utah State Capitol

The Utah State Capitol is also a place worth visiting. The Capitol Building is quite large and is the most important administrative seat of the Utah state government. Many of the designs in the building are quite interesting. You can apply to visit here, but it is quite difficult.

This was our first stop when we arrived in Salt Lake City. We have friends who have lived in this area for many years. This is where the first Mormon settlers arrived. There are many monuments describing this history, and there is also a visitor center with a short film about this history.

Salt Lake City Tabernacle

The Great Chapel is also a huge gathering place. It is located near the Temple of the Demon Sect. The chapel here is also a favorite gathering place for local Americans. The decoration and design inside the chapel are very distinctive. I like some of the styles here very much.
