The City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Cycle Mechanics (Bristol) provides a solid foundation for home mechanics and aspiring professionals in the cycle industry. The course takes place at the Life Cycle Hub in Bristol and is led by experienced and knowledgeable tutors. Participants will benefit from the latest techniques and years of expertise shared by our friendly tutors. The two-day intensive course, usually held on a Saturday and Sunday, runs from 9 am to 5 pm. During the course, participants will learn essential skills such as removing, refitting, and adjusting rim brake assemblies and derailleur gear systems. They will also gain knowledge in puncture repair, including correctly removing and refitting wheels, tires, and inner tubes. Additionally, participants will learn how to carry out a systematic cycle check and rectify faults. The course is open to individuals aged 18 and above. Those between 16 and 18 years old can attend with written permission from a parent or guardian. The course fee is £330, with the option to pay a deposit and the balance 30 days before the course starts. Learners can enjoy a 10% discount on a range of products from our bike workshop, including professional toolkits, bike parts, and accessories.
