Hailing from Indianapolis in 1878, Taylor made history as the world's first Black sports superstar at the dawn of the 20th century. Revered as "the fastest man in the world," Taylor's unparalleled cycling skills garnered global acclaim from leading publications and influential figures like Booker T. Washington and Theodore Roosevelt. Produced and directed by Todd Gould, Senior Producer/Director at WTIU, and narrated by the acclaimed opera mezzo-soprano Marietta Simpson and jazz legend Branford Marsalis, this film offers an insightful exploration of Taylor's life. Notable luminaries, including the Hon. Jonathan L. Jackson, D-IL01, share their perspectives, alongside commentary from Taylor's great-granddaughter, Karen Brown-Donovan. Before riding the elevator to the top, there&rsquo;s an exhibition introducing Chicago. It covers architecture, famous people from the city, food, and more. At the tower&rsquo;s summit, you can take in a panoramic view of the entire city. It&rsquo;s definitely a worthwhile experience.

It&rsquo;s a very nice and unique looking building. The view from the top of the building is beautiful. The view of the shoreline of the lake is very nice from this building. The Tilt is worth visiting. This might not be the amusement factor for the faint of heart. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
