Delving into the life of Marshall Walter 'Major' Taylor, a trailblazing track cycling champion and civil rights advocate, this documentary sheds light on the extraordinary journey of the world's first Black sports superstar. Hailed as "the fastest man in the world," Taylor's exceptional cycling prowess garnered widespread acclaim in the early 20th century, capturing the attention of global audiences and prominent figures like Booker T. Washington and Theodore Roosevelt. Produced and directed by Todd Gould of WTIU, with narration by acclaimed opera mezzo-soprano Marietta Simpson and jazz legend Branford Marsalis, this film features insights from Hon. Jonathan L. Jackson, D-IL01, and other esteemed personalities, including Taylor's great-granddaughter, Karen Brown-Donovan. Before riding the elevator to the top, there&rsquo;s an exhibition introducing Chicago. It covers architecture, famous people from the city, food, and more. At the tower&rsquo;s summit, you can take in a panoramic view of the entire city. It&rsquo;s definitely a worthwhile experience.

It&rsquo;s a very nice and unique looking building. The view from the top of the building is beautiful. The view of the shoreline of the lake is very nice from this building. The Tilt is worth visiting. This might not be the amusement factor for the faint of heart. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
