Juan Cruz, a Dallas-based artist and educator, has gained recognition for his unique approach to traditional art mediums. In his latest exhibition, "Cheno/Night," Cruz combines elements of Mexica/Mayan ruins and Italian architecture to create a space that is both mesmerizing and thought-provoking. The structures resemble ancient pyramids, while the interior paintings pay homage to iconic landmarks such as the Sistine Chapel and the Sagrada Familia cathedral. It is a fusion of two worlds, brought together in one space.

Cruz's intention with this exhibition is to explore the concept of a "Sacred Space" or "Holy Space" left behind by his ancestors. It is a testament to their spirit, culture, and sacrifice, offering visitors a chance to honor, pray, and reflect within this infinite space.
