The Art Awards Workshop Series presents a carpentry demonstration led by JC (Women on the Tools) at the Ruth Faulkner Library in Cloverdale. Learn to construct your own stretched canvas under the guidance of JC, a skilled visual artist and construction expert. JC will showcase the process of building a stretcher frame and stretching canvas in two different sizes, offering participants the chance to engage in various hands-on tasks. Safety measures for power tool usage will be covered during the workshop. Geared towards beginners, this demonstration fosters inclusivity and empowerment by teaching practical skills in a supportive environment. Women and women-identifying individuals are encouraged to attend. Dress comfortably in long pants and sturdy closed shoes; safety glasses and ear protection will be provided. This workshop is part of the City of Belmont Art Awards Education Program and is sponsored by Zenith Energy and The Event Mill.
