We will be looking at songs and poems, and text fragments and songs as storytelling and making these into new Broadside Ballads. You will be able to make your own texts into prints through collage, drawing experimenting and Riso print.. so bring along your ideas! This workshop will be led by Anne Robinson, lead artist in ‘The Charmers’ contemporary art project. This workshop is part of Coming Soon…The Charmers! an art project in diverse forms: films, drawings, sound, broadside ballads, workshops and conversations and The Charmers band formed by seven time-travelling-players - fugitives from the 17th century Ayrshire ‘witch’ trials. This street is very attractive to me. It is indeed a tourist destination, with many restaurants and bars, as well as many cafes and shopping stores. The street is usually crowded. One of the biggest tourist attractions on this street is a large indoor shopping mall, the Eaton Centre. The street seems to be a center of attraction and activity in itself.
