Bridging the Transition to Housing: A Framework for Homelessness Prevention
Join us at the 
Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning
 for a workshop focused on the Bridging the Transition Framework, a framework guiding efforts for preventing and ending homelessness. This framework informs approaches for collaborating with individuals, communities, and populations in preventing homelessness among individuals who have experienced homelessness in the past. The framework focuses on taking a functional and participation approach to homelesssness prevention that is aimed at promoting community integration and well-being following in the transition to permanent housing following homelessness. This in-person event will be interactive, and will enable participants to learn about this framework and network with other participants over a common goal of preventing and ending homelessness.
About the facilitator:
Dr. Carrie Anne Marshall is an Associate Professor at Western University in the Faculty of Health Sciences, School of Occupational Therapy, and Director of the Social Justice in Mental Health Research Lab. She has several years of experience as a service provider and researcher in the areas of housing, homelessness and mental health. Her research focuses on intersections between poverty and mental health, with a predominant focus on identifying strategies for supporting permanent transitions to housing following homelessness. She is the principal author of the Bridging the Transition Framework.
