As an Emmy award-winning investigative reporter and assistant professor of journalism at New York University, Schellmann brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this important topic. The event is part of World AI Week, which takes place from April 15-19, 2024.

In her book, Schellmann delves into the world of artificial intelligence and its impact on the workplace. Through interviews with whistleblowers, examination of internal documents, and real-world tests, she uncovers the biased, racist nature of many algorithms that make high-stakes decisions. These algorithms often do more harm than good, and Schellmann aims to hold AI accountable.
