Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture is pleased to announce the opening reception for the exhibition "Bonnie Ora Sherk: Life Frames since 1970." This groundbreaking exhibition showcases the visionary work of the late artist Bonnie Ora Sherk, whose innovative projects in 1970s San Francisco reimagined urban landscapes and paved the way for a global movement to reclaim city spaces. The exhibition, curated by Tanya Zimbardo, will run from January 13 to March 10 at Gallery 308, located within Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture in San Francisco.

Bonnie Ora Sherk's early performances and site-specific interventions are brought to life through a captivating display of film, video, photographs, collages, works on paper, artist books, printed matter, and ephemera. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore Sherk's community-oriented approach to urban transformation, as well as her founding of the nonprofit organization A Living Library in 1981, which continues to advocate for environmental education and youth participation.

In addition to the exhibition, Fort Mason Art will open a pop-up garden by designer John Bela, offering visitors the chance to engage with outdoor art commissions by Matthew Passmore, Cauleen Smith, and other exhibitions on campus.

Jiuqu Flower Street is actually a section of Lombard Street, located between Hyde Street and Leavenworth Street. This section is a steep slope, but it is designed to be eight hairpin bends, and the road is full of flowers. If you need to shoot the effect of Jiuqu, you must stand at the low position of Leavenworth Street. Chinese people can drive by themselves in the western United States where San Francisco is located. If you will drive in San Francisco, you may wish to experience the feeling of driving through Jiuquhua Street.
