His show, which aired from 1983 to 1994, showcased his wet-on-wet oil painting technique, endearing him to audiences worldwide with his soothing voice and  happy little trees  catchphrase. Ross's belief in the accessibility of art inspired many, and he founded Bob Ross Inc. to promote his techniques. Despite his passing in 1995, Ross's legacy lives on through his paintings, videos, and ongoing influence in the art world.
