I. Transportation

1. Outbound Route: Take Metro Line 8 to Beitucheng Station. Exit from Exit C and follow the signs to find the bus stop for Bus 877 (this line goes directly to the Great Wall without transfers).

2. Bus Fare: Only 6 yuan with a QR code, 12 yuan with cash. It is recommended to prepare your QR code in advance to save time.

3. Key Times: The last bus for the outbound journey on Bus 877 departs at 12:30 PM. Be sure to board before then. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours and is a direct route with no stops. Plan your departure time accordingly.

4. Return Route: After descending the mountain, take Bus 877 back. Buses depart when full, with the last bus departing at 5:00 PM. It also stops at Beitucheng Metro Station, making for convenient transportation.

II. Tickets and Suggestions

1. Ticket Purchase: It is recommended to purchase tickets in advance through Ctrip. Adult tickets are 40 yuan. On-site ticket purchases may involve queuing; advance booking is more efficient.

2. Route: I chose the North Route hike, which is entirely on foot. The total walking distance is 3.5 kilometers and takes about 3 hours (the pace is slow, suitable for taking photos and enjoying the scenery). It&#39;s manageable.

3. Additional Highlights: On the way down, you&#39;ll pass the &quot;Bear Park,&quot; where you can observe the bears&#39; daily activities (such as sleeping and interacting with them). It&#39;s a good way to end the trip comfortably. A very good day trip!

Marked as a World Heritage Site, Temple of Heaven is absolutely worth a visit! The largest building (Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests) is visible miles away if you are walking towards it (making it convenient - can close out of Baidu maps and just keep walking which is what we did haha!) We purchased tickets upon arrival, easy process. There were many people taking photographs but you can get good shots if you tilt your camera up or get lucky with timing. The park itself is beautiful and serene, making it a great place to relax and enjoy for 1-2 hours.
