Simon Weisse: About Prop Making es la BAU Talks que trae el Máster en Diseño de Espacios Escénicos y Dirección Artística esta primavera, suponiendo una ocasión única para conocer a una de las figuras clave del cine de culto más importante de los últimos años. Weisse es recurrente en las grandes superproducciones de Hollywood que acuden a sus diseños en miniatura para crear espacios atemporales y cargados de significado para la narración que acompañan. El artista desgranará el arte del atrezo, poniendo en valor el nivel de trabajo que hay detrás, además de explicar a los asistentes cuál es su proceso creativo: desde que recibe el guión con la propuesta hasta que llega la hora de rodar. Esta es la oportunidad no solo para aquellos que quieren dedicarse a la producción de escenografía cinematográfica, sino también para los grandes apasionados por el cine y los curiosos que anhelan descubrir los detalles que definen aquellas películas que ya conocen. Simon Weisse: About Prop Making is this spring's BAU Talks, presented by the Master in Stage Design and Art Direction, and offers a unique opportunity to meet one of the key figures in the most important cult cinema of recent years. Weisse is a recurring figure in major Hollywood blockbusters, which turn to his miniature designs to create timeless spaces charged with meaning for the narrative they accompany. The artist will unpack the art of props, highlighting the amount of work that goes into them, as well as explaining to the audience what his creative process is: from the moment he receives the script with the proposal until it is time to shoot. About the speaker A graduate of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Montpellier, Simon Weisse is a miniature visual effects unit supervisor and prop designer known for his work on films by the Wachowski sisters (V for Vendetta, Cloud Atlas, The Matrix Resurrections), Wes Anderson (Isle of Dogs, The French Dispatch, Asteroid City) or Luca Guadagnino's latest film, Queer.

Tickets were issued via Ctrip in about ten minutes, and the price was the same as on the official website, which was quite convenient. Last year, on my first trip to Barcelona, ​​I prioritized visiting the places I most wanted to see within the limited time, so I skipped Park G&uuml;ell. This year, my cruise ship stopped in Barcelona for a day, so I decided to visit it. Tickets were still available at the entrance, and the ticket check didn&#39;t consider specific times or cruise schedules. For example, when we arrived at noon, the system showed only 3 PM tickets were available, but we were actually allowed in immediately.

Since it was the weekend, there were a lot of tourists, both local and out-of-town, making it very noisy. The ground was also mostly bare earth, and the wind whipped up dust, making for a poor experience. I think skipping it last time was the right decision. If you really want to come, just enter through the main entrance and visit the highlights; you can finish in about half an hour.

He believed that &quot;straight lines belong to man, curves belong to God,&quot; and the design of Casa Mil&agrave; is entirely inspired by nature, imitating the forms of rocks, waves, and plants. The building&#39;s exterior, known as &quot;La Pedrera&quot; (meaning &quot;quarry&quot;), features an undulating, wave-like facade resembling a natural mountain, devoid of straight lines or right angles, presenting a sense of natural flow. Inside, the curves of the columns and staircases resemble tree trunks and caves, while the ceiling textures mimic leaf veins and ocean waves, conveying a tribute to the vitality of nature from the outside in.

The roof of Casa Mil&agrave; is the most iconic part of Gaud&iacute;&#39;s entire architectural work: 30 oddly shaped chimneys and vents exist like sculptures, some resembling warriors, others like monsters (I personally feel they look like some masks from Sanxingdui), perfectly combining functionality (smoke extraction, ventilation) with artistry. The undulating roof enhances the sculptural feel of the building, and standing on it offers a panoramic view of Barcelona.
