This course is designed for anyone wishing to get involved in basketball. Whether you are a young school sports leader, a basketball player or a volunteer/ teacher who wishes to up their basketball game - this is for you! The day will be broken into 3 sections: Skills Coaching course - formerly known as Lvl 1 coaching course - fully practical, basketball based course that will equip you with necessary knowledge to deliver a block of recreational basketball at school. Refereeing course - Basketballscotland Tip Off course - This course will give you fundamentals to referee basketball matches within school environments. A free whistle will be given to all candidates. Table officials course - This course will give you the necessary knowledge to table officiate a basketball match. The day will contain a mixture of physical activity and classroom based workshop, therefore we recommend you attend wearing comfortable, indoor sports clothing. Please bring with you plenty food and water due to no food facilities (although lunch time will be provided). There are toilets, accessible toilets and water fountains on site. This course will be delivered by a partnership between basketballscotland and active schools PK.
