May's 13th of the Month event concludes this Grounding Series. Join us as we ground in community and assess our journey so far. Sports and entertainment shape our culture — and in turn, they must be shaped by us. Fandom is one of the ways we create and hold joyful community. Analyzing your favorites with a critical eye is a show of love and celebration: here's what brings me joy, what makes it messy, and what keeps me coming back. That new show about hockey players? The Orioles? Gaming? Bridgerton? This is why Reddit is a thing. In May's 13th Community Learning Space, we'll use those everyday passions as "text for learning" — and bring our ARAO lens to bear together in the contact zone. We grounded in ARAO analysis in March, and in somatic and embodiment practices in April. In May, the fledgling learning community comes together to try it all out. Gather with others to reflect on and honor our hopes and inspiration by decorating flower pots and planting seeds. We’ll gather together to reflect on what we hope for this spring and share what inspires us this time of year. Then we’ll celebrate and honor our hopes by decorating flower pots and planting seeds. Materials will be provided, but please feel free to bring collage materials if you’d like! Note: if this activity sounds familiar, it's because we were supposed to do it on the Full Pink Moon, but I was sick! So we get a do-over 🥰 - Join Annie , founder of Wild Maven Wellness , to mark the new and full moon every month at The Space Within Crystal Shop. Gather at 7 pm for reflection, ritual, and community. Note: doors close at 7:10pm so we can begin our practice without interruption. We’ll end by 8:30 with time to linger and commune in the space until 9. Bring a journal, a pen, and a mug for tea. And if you have some collage materials you'd like to bring, feel free! - A note on cost: Moon Circles are always pay-what-you-can. Here's a helpful guide to help you decide how much to pay: I can pay it forward | $30-39 I’m financially comfortable. I can regularly afford extras like eating out, subscriptions, travel, and event tickets. I’ll pay it forward and help offset the cost for others who are struggling. I've got it covered | $20-29 I feel financial stress at times, but I regularly manage to pay my bills. I may cut back on a meal out or a couple coffees to make it work, but I can do that.
