The event will feature two famous Western legends: Wyatt Earp and Billy the Kid. On October 24 at 3:00 PM, Warren will delve into the enigmatic personality of Wyatt Earp, showcasing his straightforward demeanor and the forces that made others both fear and admire him. The lecture will also include a fascinating collection of photographs that chronicle Earp's life. On October 25 at 3:00 PM, Warren will shed light on the lesser-known facts about Billy the Kid, exploring the dichotomous nature of history and the varying perceptions of this notorious figure. Mark Warren, an esteemed member of the Wild West History Association and Western Writers of America, has dedicated over 60 years to researching the American West. His acclaimed works, including the Wyatt Earp, An American Odyssey trilogy and A Last Serenade for Billy Bonney, have garnered recognition from prestigious awards such as the Spur Awards and the Will Rogers Medallion Awards. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase and have their books signed by Mark Warren following the lectures. This enlightening event is included with museum admission for non-members, and free for members. For program access only, there will be a nominal fee of $5.
