The Mid-Autumn Festival, one of China's four major traditional festivals, originated from the ancient worship of the moon and gradually developed into an important reunion festival during the Tang and Song dynasties. Today, it symbolizes unity, harvest, harmony, and auspiciousness, and is widely celebrated across East and Southeast Asia. 
Since 2019, the Balmoral Chinese Chamber of Commerce has spearheaded the Mid-Autumn Festival activities in Balmoral Town Centre, with strong support from Auckland Council, Albert-Eden Local Board, Dominion Road Chamber of Commerce, and the Chinese Cultural Centre (Auckland). 
Now in its sixth year, the Mid-Autumn Festival has become one of Auckland's most iconic cultural events—an immersive celebration that blends light, performances, food, and community spirit. Attracting tens of thousands of people each year, it not only vividly showcases traditional Chinese culture but also builds bridges between different cultures.

It&#39;s a great place to visit, especially with kids. I love seeing all the animals. It&#39;s my first time seeing penguins, stingray, and sharks in person. It&#39;s super cool!

The whole experience was great, and it&#39;s a great place to learn about New Zealand&#39;s history and culture. The museum is quite large and worth a good half-day visit. There are many interactive exhibits, especially suitable for taking children out. There are also Chinese services, which is recommended.

Although Mount Eden is not high, you can overlook the whole of Auckland from the top of the mountain, and the view is particularly wide. The remains of the crater are clearly visible, covered with green grass, a peaceful green. It is not difficult to walk all the way up. You can also see sheep grazing on the hillside. Their leisurely appearance makes people can&#39;t help but take a few more photos. The wind on the top of the mountain is very strong, but it is also very fresh, which makes people feel particularly bright. It is a good place that does not require tickets or planning, but can leave very deep memories.

Auckland Central Park is not like the common landscape parks in the city. It is more like a natural forest. The winding tree-lined paths and the tall trees on both sides make you feel like you are walking into the original green field, with thick fallen leaves and soft soil under your feet.
