Join OLLIE for a relaxing morning of crafts held at Marshalswick Community Garden!
Join artist Mary, a mixed media creator and certified Zentangle teacher, for a relaxing and enjoyable art experience. Mary will lead you through an easy-to-learn method of drawing structured patterns to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind images.
Zentangle art is non-representational and unplanned—there’s no pressure to produce a specific outcome. You’ll always know your next step, yet the final piece is a delightful surprise, uniquely your own. No artistic background? No problem. If you can write the word “ISCO,” you can tangle!
There are no mistakes in Zentangle—only creative opportunities. With just a pen and pencil, you’ll craft intricate designs while enjoying the calming, meditative flow of drawing. Discover a peaceful space where creativity and relaxation come together in a welcoming, supportive environment.
You will have to oppourtunity to turn your Zentangle art into a coaster at the end. If you wish to do so then the artist will ask for a payment of £5 to cover the cost of the coaster materials.
All other crafting materials will be provided for your convenience.
**Please note, all workshops are open to all individuals and families, however, those under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
General Session Information:
Due to the cost of matierals and trainer fee's general admission tickets are £5. If cost is a barrier and you need a fully funded ticket please email katie@theolliefoundation.org
If you book a ticket and then are unexpectedly unable to attend this event, even at the very last minute, please do let us know before the session, either by returning to Eventbrite or by emailing

Please note that this workshop is weather dependent, and so it might be subject to last minute cancellation if the weather conditions are too poor to run the event properly. If this is the case, you will be notified by email within 24 hours prior to the event, and a full refund will be possible through Eventbrite.
