Art Works/RVA Thriving Artist Camp- Wet Felting offers a unique opportunity for 6-12-year-old students to explore the fascinating world of felting. Participants will delve into the fundamentals of wet felting, learning about the necessary materials and techniques to create intricate felted designs. Drawing and writing exercises will serve as engaging icebreakers, stimulating conversations on color schemes, shapes, and design elements. Throughout the camp, students will craft a variety of items, including coasters, wall decor, clothing patches, bags, pouches, and collage pieces. This enriching experience takes place at Art Works Inc in Richmond, located at 320 Hull Street, from July 15 to July 18. The camp operates from 8:00 am to 12 noon, with a maximum class size of 10 students to ensure personalized attention. All essential supplies are included in the $260 fee, and the materials provided are nontoxic. Parents are kindly requested to pack a snack for their child and dress them in comfortable attire that can withstand potential messes. The instructors are professional artists with extensive teaching experience, guaranteeing a high-quality educational environment for young creatives.
