This AR-15 Fundamentals curriculum includes both classroom and live-fire training, with a focus on learning how to use an AR-15 for home and self-defense. Learn to verify your zero, accessorize, maintain, and operate your firearm, identifying the importance of round trajectory and mechanical offset for close encounters. Classroom topics include: SafetyHistory and popularityAbout the AR-15Loading, unloading, and clearingMaintenance and cleaningAccessorizing the AR-15Support gearAR-15 shooting basics.ZeroingAround the house and personal defenseRange drills Verify and confirm zero.Kinesthetic alignmentReloadsMultiple targetsOut of the opticMechanical offsetThis course is taught by certified AR-15 firearms instructors who are also certified in Marksmanship Coaching, Home Defense, and Defenseive Shooting. PREREQUISITES:None. Consider taking Intro to AR-15. WHAT'S INCLUDED:Instruction by Nationally AR-15 Certified Firearms InstructorRange FeesIt is recommended that you use your own firearm*, You will need to provide 300 rounds of ammunition for the firearm, this must be purchased before class begins.SUPPLY LIST:Students are required to bring the following supplies: Functional AR-15Sling for your AR-152-3 magazinesSafety glasses* (available to borrow)Hearing Protection* (available to borrow)*300 Rounds of ammunition for your firearm* - this must be purchased before class begins.
