The University of Bedfordshire is thrilled to announce another exciting installment of their popular 'An Evening With' series. On Thursday, February 8, 2024, Mick Harford, the iconic figure from Luton Town Football Club, will be taking the stage to share his incredible journey from grassroots to glory. This event, titled 'From Grassroots to Glory', will delve into Mick's legendary career as both a player and manager at Luton Town. The session will be led by a panel of journalism students and staff, offering a unique perspective on Mick's experiences. Mick Harford, currently the Chief Recruitment Officer for Luton Town, has an illustrious history with the club. He first joined as a player in 1984 and spent six successful years with the team before returning in 1991 for a second spell. After his playing career, Mick transitioned into coaching and management roles at Luton Town, ultimately leading the club to victory in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in 2009. This event is one of the many benefits resulting from the University's educational partnership with Luton Town Football Club, providing students with valuable educational and career development opportunities. 

During the interactive session, Mick will share the highs and lows of his career, including memorable matches and highlights from both his playing and coaching days. As the Chief Recruitment Officer, Mick will also offer insights into the club's history and development, as well as the unwavering community support that has propelled the Hatters throughout the years. The event will conclude with an audience Q&A session, giving attendees the chance to engage directly with Mick and ask their burning questions.
