Thaddaeus Ropac Salzburg presents recent drawings by American artist Alex Katz, each featuring a single flower meticulously rendered in charcoal on paper. Exhibited for the first time in Salzburg, the series pays tribute to Katz's friend, artist and writer Joe Brainard (1941-94); in a posthumous collaboration, Katz embellished a series of diaries Brainard wrote between 1971 and 1972. In celebration of their enduring friendship, this poetic account of their lives in New York City is being republished in 2023 by Karma Books in New York as The Flower Diaries, alongside Katz's drawings.

Go there for the beautiful garden outside with all the amazing sculptures. Need to know, a scene from the do-re-me song from the movie The sound of music was shot there. You also get an amazing view of Fortress Hohensalzburg. It says it&#39;s free to visit the palace but there&#39;s really only one staircase and a small room you can see and it&#39;s not marked out. I think it&#39;s mainly used for concerts. It&#39;s still worth a look especially the staircase with all the sculptures.
