In this workshop, we will explore the theme of  affirmations  through warm-up activities, creative prompts, and a relaxed block of time to make mini-zines that meaningfully reflect your thoughts, feelings, and experiences 💗 Affirmations allow you to acknowledge the things that prevent your happiness, which in turn, allows you to surround yourself with the things that you want in your life. We will be collaboratively co-hosting this important session alongside poet and wordsmith Lucia Morciano, who has crafted several volumes of poetry zines and is a master of creative writing and all-round positivity – so know that you'll be in safe hands. Using the wide array of provided materials, this highly interpretable yet confidence-boosting theme is all about challenging your internal narrative by offering yourself a soft reset through self-led affirmations in poetry and zine form. You do not need any prior experience to take part (though we always do like to welcome back familiar faces!) and included with your ticket is a bespoke handmade envelope full of collage cut-outs to use on the day or take home for later. Embrace the element of chance, make new like-minded friends, join our supportive community, and most importantly – have fun delving into the zine-making process! Still unsure about coming along? We are releasing a range of ticket price options in the hope that everyone will be able to take part.There are a limited number of each ticket option available, therefore we kindly ask that you do an honest assessment of your affordability to ensure the intended equal access. With a background in Theatretherapy and earning a BA in Modern Languages and Literature in Italy, Lucia gained an MA in Creative Writing with distinction at the historical Birkbeck University of London. In her career, Lucia has translated books, movies, documentaries, and TV series. Lucia has written and published several volumes of poetry, one of which became an award-winning animated short film in 2022. Today, I was fortunate to embark on a cultural journey across time and space under the guidance of teacher Diana, starting from the glorious civilization of ancient Egypt, as if I was riding a time machine and traveling through the history and art of all parts of the world.

Teacher Diana from Beijing is elegant and knowledgeable, as if the entire British Museum is her &quot;home&quot;. She knows every exhibit well, just like taking a walk in her own back garden, and every detail is at her fingertips. Her explanation is easy to understand, rigorous and professional, and full of fun, which makes people sigh at her profound knowledge and expression ability.

At the beginning, I was still worried that the three-hour guided tour would be too long, but soon found that the worry was completely unnecessary. Every minute was full of surprises and gains, time passed quickly, and in the end I felt that I was still not satisfied! If there is a chance, I will definitely sign up for a ten-hour or even longer in-depth tour without hesitation.

What impressed me more was the strong &quot;Beijing gene&quot; in teacher Diana. Her hearty atmosphere and humor made the whole explanation process both friendly and vivid, completely breaking the stereotype of traditional museum tours. When I listened to her explanation, I often couldn&#39;t help but smile while concentrating on the exhibits. It felt like listening to Song Dandan&#39;s jokes - interesting but thought-provoking.

As a museum lover, I always believe that an excellent guide can make a museum shine with a new charm. And Teacher Diana is the kind of person who can make a museum &quot;alive&quot;.

It was ordered to be built by the religious King Edward I in 1050 and completed in 1065. The existing church was rebuilt by Henry III in 1245, and was expanded in successive dynasties until it was completed in the late 15th century. It is the highest-ranking church in the UK. The church is considered a masterpiece of British Gothic architecture.
