Unlike top-down organized commercial music festivals, this monthly beach party has no unified organizing body. The event is a collaborative effort between individuals and businesses on Harlem Beach. The beach is transformed through the collective efforts of local businesses: they set up bars and stages, artists painted signs and created decorations, bars carefully selected and played their own music, and food vendors prepared food for hungry revelers.
