Nanchizi Art Museum: An Art Palace Where Tradition and Modernity Meet

Nanchizi Art Museum is like a quiet art oasis hidden in the hustle and bustle of the city.

Once you step into it, the architectural layout of the main exhibition hall is amazing. The upper and lower floors are made of pure wooden structure with column grid arrangement. The mortise and tenon joint technology that has been used for thousands of years has been revitalized here. Since its trial operation in April 2021, it has been like a growing artist, continuously upgrading according to the needs of exhibitions and audiences. The exhibition hall area has expanded from 600 square meters to 1,500 square meters, just like a flower gradually blooming more gorgeous petals. The newly added functional areas such as the reading area and derivative area are like adding more treasure corners to this art palace. It has done a model in inheriting the architectural features of traditional Chinese aesthetics, and it is no less impressive in modern facilities. The Prince Gong Mansion is the most complete existing Qing Dynasty princely palace in Beijing. It was built in 1776 and was once the residence of Heshen, Prince Qingxi Yonglin, and Prince Gong Yixin.
