Join the FreeWalkers for The Endless Summer Walk, a one-day long distance event along the captivating New Jersey coast. Starting at the Aberdeen-Matawan Train Station in Matawan, the walk covers a total of 30 miles, taking participants on a picturesque journey from the bay area to Sandy Hook, and then south along the ocean to the vibrant Asbury Park. The route encompasses a variety of terrains, including paved paths, boardwalks, and even the option to walk on the beach. As you make your way, you'll encounter highlights such as the Henry Hudson Trail, Mount Mitchill, Atlantic Highlands, Sea Bright, Long Branch, and finally, the quirky and exciting Asbury Park. The walk concludes at the Asbury Park Train Station, conveniently located near the popular Johnny Mac's bar, known for its casual atmosphere and delightful free personal pizza with each drink. After a memorable day of exploration, participants can easily return to the starting point by taking the train back to Matawan.
