Great loves: Nope

Speed Dating in Nottingham for 20s & 30s | Revolución de Cuba Nottingham

Nottingham
How Speed Dating Works in Nottingham
When you arrive at the Nottingham venue you will be greeted by our friendly professional hosts. Once everyone has arrived and registered we will briefly explain the format of the evening. The ladies will then be asked to make their way to their allocated table. Once the ladies are seated the gentlemen will be asked to proceed to their first date.
You will have 4 minutes to chat to each date, once the 4 minutes is over we will ring a bell to indicate the time is up and for the gentlemen to move to their next date. Four minutes is long enough to see if you click with the person you are talking to and whether you would like to see them again and also short enough if you don't.
At the end of each date you have a brief few moments to make some notes on the person you have just dated. This is something to help jog your memory for the post event matching process the next day.
Half way through the event you will have an interval break so you can nip to the toilet or top up your drink. Once all the dates are over you have the opportunity to stay on at the venue to mingle freely with others. Please remember to take your dating card home with you to assist you in entering in your ticks and potential matches.
Post Event
No later than 11am the following morning our matching system will be unlocked for you to enter your ticks from the previous evening. You have all day to tick as many people as you like from the night before. We guarantee you will find someone you will want to see again, otherwise we will give you your next

About Alice Hewkin
I have an allotment at St Ann's Allotments, where I grow a variety of fruit, from which I make a wide range of jams, jellies, and chutneys. I reduce the amount of sugar in my jam, to optimise the flavour of the fruit and like to experiment with complementary, seasonal additions, in order to create unique flavour combinations.
All my fruit is produced without the use of pesticides/herbicides, hand picked from plot to pot within a few hours. I love knowing that, for each jar of jam I produce, I can point out exactly where the fruit comes from and what goes into it. As all the fruit is grown on my allotment, there is a limit to the number of preserves I can produce in one season, so you might have to wait a year for the next batch to become available. I also make a range of seasonal cordials.
About the Community Orchard
This workshop will be run from the Community Orchard's beautiful outdoor kitchen. The Community Orchard is a garden maintained by STAA for educational purposes. It features a mix of mature fruit trees and fruit bushes, many of them heritage varieties, and includes a pond and a stream.
St Ann’s Allotments are Grade 2* Listed by Historic England and designated an Area of Importance for Nature Conservation. It is the oldest and largest area of Victorian detached town gardens in the UK, with over 700 years of history, 500 gardens, and 32 miles of hedgerow.
