James is an aggressive supporter of player diversity, paneling discussions at various conferences in the ttrpg industry. Among his publications are adventures and core rulebooks for Pendelhaven Press, including "Creatures From Fairy-Tale and Myth", co-authored with Ed Greenwood, and the brand-new "Fight to Survive: Role-playing Martial Arts Meets Heart". Kanen Nixon
Kanen Nixon to the intrigued: I have been a sword fighter at Blades of Glory for almost three years now, it’s certainly tough on the body but rewarding for the inner youth. I been playing D&D for over 10 years, planting my roots in 2e AD&D with my off-beat high-school friends in our basements. My objective through storytelling is to give a player the feeling their actions have consequences. My regular players say my games have a goofy exterior with large scale plots, and that it feels similar in calibre to episodes of ‘Adventure Time’.
Aaron Stewart
My name is Aaron Stewart, Ive been a player and a DM since 2020.
I Love D& D for Roleplaying, World building, and fantasy but most of all I love when the players get to have fun playing their characters and watch all of the interesting interactions and events that come from player choices. The games I build live in a cartoony fantasy world that are filled with comedic relief. As a DM I live by the rule of cool and love to make players wacky choices and actions become possible.
I hope to capture some of the thing I love about this game in this adventure and provide the players with opportunity to play the game from the other side of the fence so to speak.
Ian McLean
Ian MacLean has been roleplaying since the late '80's, when first introduced to D&D. He has since plunged into the hobby, running workshops at Epic Nerd Camp, winning multiple storytelling awards, and participating in charity events through Extra Life. In addition, his artwork has been published in supplements for Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Lamentations of the Flame Princess, and other RPGs.
Lucas Graham
Lucas Graham, an ardent game enthusiast recently turned designer, is the creative mind behind the tabletop RPG, Architects of Creation: Worlds. A longtime player of board and card games, Lucas's entry into TTRPGs inspired him to create a unique game simplifying the worldbuilding process. Architects of Creation: Worlds makes crafting realms an accessible, collaborative adventure, providing a platform for both beginners and seasoned players to bring their imagined worlds to life.
Gryphon
Hail and well met! My name is Gryphon Nixon-Briard. I have been a Dungeon Master for half a decade or so, and I am deeply devoted to the craft. With experience running several long-term campaigns and one-shot games for newer players, I have cultivated a love for goofier style games with the occasional grotesque twist. I am passionate about collecting D&D miniatures, and when I'm not rolling dice, I enjoy cosplaying, sword fighting as one of the knights for Blades of Glory, and being a full-time falconer. My goal is to bring fun and creativity to every game, making D&D an unforgettable experience for any and all adventurers.
Dian Moriarity
Hello! My name is Dan and I have been involved with the TTRpg community for over 25 years, doing art for and writing for blogs, online magazines and independent games. I am from Bancroft where I manage D&D games for my local community working with both young and old and do my best to bring my favourite hobby to as many new players as possible. As a side note I am also a dabbling puppeteer and craftsman, performing with my handcrafted puppets and operating a small independent workshop for puppetry and other related works.

Acting for Change: Intro to Forum Theatre and Theatre of the Oppressed | Stade Hall
Jul 27, 2025 (UTC+1)
Hastings
THEATRE CHANGES MINDS!
Acting for Change is an opportunity to experience an introduction to Brazilian Theatre pioneer Augusto Boal’s core participatory Applied Theatre approach
of Theatre of the Oppressed and practice around one of its major branches- Forum Theatre.
Change, Act!
are experienced Applied Theatre practitioners Paul Formosa and Charlotte Hailey-Watts who have been facilitating these techniques with communities facing the harshest social inequalities for several years, mainly in London. Charlotte has lived in Hastings for several years and is excited to bring this technique to her local town.
Identifying as disabled and neurodivergent ourselves, we facilitate the techniques through an access-focused lens, tweaking them to suit the current social climate as Boal intended.
Change, Act!
are currently funded by City Bridge and Comic Relief for projects in London. We have presented our work at the National Creativity, Health and Wellbeing Alliance Conference, University fo the Arts London, Battersea Arts Centre, and Union Chapel. Paul is also co-founder of RODlab London. We trained with Katy Rubin (formerly of Theatre of the Oppressed New York).
Light refreshments will be provided and there will be 2 x short breaks for comfort and accessiblilty.
Who is this for ?
You might have some experience of Theatre of the Oppressed techniques/ Forum Theatre or none at all. Either way, we will ensure that you will be challenged, learn new things and have fun!
You do not need to have an interest or background in Theatre. These techniques are ideal for anyone working with communities facing social inequalities or who are passionate about conversations and action towards mobilising social change.
What will I learn?
A brief history of Theatre of the Oppressed and Forum Theatre; their intended purposes/ how Change, Act! work with these techniques in the real world
Experience a variety of enjoyable Theatre of the Oppressed warm up games, their significance and learn how to faciliate them
Key technique Image Theatre, it's power and applications as a devising technique and in Forum Theatre

Hayley is a British folk singer and guitarist with distinctively pure vocals, understated charm and deeply personal songwriting.
At the age of 29, Hayley moved to The Netherlands where she began writing the album and performing in Den Bosch with the support of her local record store. With 15 years between now and her debut ‘The Daisy Room’, this album is more than a break of silence. It’s an explosion of expression both musically and lyrically and a sure sign that Hayley is back, with her full creative spirit intact.
The new album by Hayley Savage is a collection of songs written between 2011 – 2021. It’s a mixture of Folk, Americana and Indie with a minimalist and organic production.

About BASH Networking
BASH was set up by a group of local small business owners who met at a networking event that felt a little bit meh. By the end of the evening we realised we could probably do a better job if we organised it ourselves, so we decided to get together and give it a BASH!
We meet on the last Wednesday of each month, with either a guest speaker or a BASH network member sharing their expertise
