Gather bark and berries from the woods and brew them into beautiful natural inks. Modifiers such as iron water and ash will change the colours creating a new palette. Using twigs and pods as well as brushes, explore the colours you have created with free drawing and mark-making. Workshop Tutor: Sophie Woodhouse I have a B.A. and M.A. in arts and have taught and lectured in art and craft for around 25 years. I am most interested in the connection between art and nature, sketching directly from the natural world and using natural history as the inspiration for printmaking and design. I believe that studying the landscape, flora and fauna about us, we can heal ourselves and be moved to protect nature. Above all, art can be sociable, playful and experimental. Speed Dating Shropshire – Ages 49-59 We all need love and connection and meeting in real life is making a massive comeback! If you’re tired of endless swiping, ghosting, and online small talk that never goes anywhere, this event is your chance to meet real single people face-to-face in a relaxed, friendly setting. Who’s it for? This event is for single people aged 49-59 (we allow 2-3 years either side, so 46-62 is fine). The only rule is that you must be single and open to meeting new people – whether that’s for friendship, dating, or something more. What to expect: ✨ To chat with the other people of the same gender when you arrive - this is how the evening starts! It's a great way to settle any nerves (as everyone starts out nervously so that makes you normal). ✨ A series of fun, relaxed mini-dates where you’ll chat one-to-one with other singles for just a few minutes each. (Enough time to see if there’s a spark, without any pressure.)✨ A break between rounds so you can grab a drink, chat with others, and take the evening at your own pace.✨ At the end, you can privately mark down who you’d like to see again – no awkward rejections, no pressure. If it’s a match, I’ll connect you afterwards! Why people love it: It’s so much easier than online dating. You get a real sense of chemistry in just a few minutes. Everyone’s in the same boat – a little nervous at first, but the atmosphere quickly becomes fun and friendly. Even if you don’t meet “the one,” you’ll have had a great evening out, with the chance to make new friends and expand your social circle. Venue: I am hosting this event at Shropshire Golf Centre, Muxton . The bar and restaurant are open beforehand, so you’re welcome to arrive early for a drink or food before the event starts (payable directly to the venue). Important: Tickets are limited to keep the event balanced and personal – grab yours quickly before they sell out. Please arrive on time so you don’t miss the introduction. Bring your best self, an open mind, and don't put too much pressure on yourself. Information Source: Speed Dating Shropshire | eventbrite
