Led by artist Jacqui Mair spend a day being inspired by the Overlord Embroidery. An opportunity to sketch and collage from a piece of history. Using unique handmade papers and vintage ephemera bring to life your own special collage tribute. Jacqueline Mair (Jacqui ) studied Fine Art at the University of West of England UK and gained a first class with honours . She went on to take her M.A. in printmaking at the Royal College of Art London. U.K. For over twenty years Jacqui worked for the worldwide known card company Roger la Borde and illustrated numerous award winning children’s books on folk lore with Albion Press, Ebury Press and Cico Books. She spent some time working abroad with Save the Children and UNICEF, running creative print workshops for children in Africa, Liberia and Columbia. Jacqui lives and works in Southsea, England after spending an extensive time abroad teaching in the United States and France. She exhibits her work with The Jack House Gallery in Portsmouth and runs workshops for collage makers. All abilities welcome, aged 16 and over. All materials provided Refreshments will be provided but you will need to bring lunch, or there is a cafe onsite.

Jarred Christmas Jarred Christmas (born c. 1980) is a comedian from New Zealand who now lives and works in the United Kingdom. He won the Chortle Comedy Award for Best Compère in 2010, and the Fred Award in 2013 Christmas grew up in Christchurch. He attended an all-boys secondary school where he did not fit in because he was not into sport. In 1996, he went to Hagley Community College for fifth form (now called Year 11) and credits the school with turning his life around, saying For the first time in my life I met people who were themselves. It really changed my life. Christmas moved to Britain in 2003. On television, he has appeared as a performer and guest panellist on shows such as BBC Two's Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Mock the Week, BBC Three's Russell Howard's Good News, Channel 4's 8 Out of 10 Cats and Dave's One Night Stand. In 2008 he appeared in Pot Noodle television advertisements. In 2011, Christmas took part in Let's Dance for Comic Relief.
